Bassoonist from Tenerife who began the instrument in Santa Cruz in 1999 and graduated from the Conservatorio Superior de Canarias before specialising in historical bassoons at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague, where he completed a master’s degree in 2017. He plays with ensembles such as the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century, Vox Luminis and Luthers Bach Ensemble.

Keyboard player born in 1998 who performs on clavichord, harpsichord, fortepiano and modern piano with a focus on historically informed performance. She was a semi-finalist at the International Chopin Competition on Historical Instruments in Warsaw (2023), won two prizes at the SICHTweisen harpsichord competition in Vienna (2025) and is house pianist at the Beethoven-Haus in Bonn.

The 24th Festival de Música Antigua de La Laguna runs from 23 October to 1 November 2026 in two former convents of the city’s historic centre, with free entry until capacity. This page lists two of its concerts: Musas de la Ilustración, with the bassoonist Hugo Rodríguez Arteaga and the fortepianist Mariia Kurtynina, in the Sala Capitular of the ex-convento de Santo Domingo on Saturday 31 October at 20:00, and a Sunday matinée by the ensemble Trov’Antiga in the Patio de los Cipreses of the ex-convento de San Agustín on 1 November at 12:00. The programme also lists concerts on 23 and 24 October that are not part of this page. The municipal poster carries the logos of the Ayuntamiento de La Laguna’s Concejalía de Cultura and its Organismo Autónomo de Actividades Musicales.
